Please Stop Laughing at Me

Please Stop Laughing at Me

One Woman's Inspirational Journey

By Jodee Blanco took me by surprise.  Once I started, I did not want to put this book down.  I honestly did not expect such horrific events as she described.  I experienced bullying throughout school, but it fails to compare to what Jodee experienced.  As I progressed through the years with her, I felt so helpless.  I could not believe the hatred that her class mates held for her.  I could not imagine not being able to walk through the halls of school fearing for my life.  I was shocked by the reactions of the schools she attended, as well as the teachers and her parents.  I could not believe how complacent they were at times.  She does an excellent job of recounting her events and not trying to disguise the pain she endured.  I appreciate her addressing the subject of bullying with gusto.  I know she is truly making a difference in lives.
